Michael Anthony Russo is 24 years young, yet, unlike many of his peers he has been fortunate enough to discover his passion for photography early on. Michael's pursuit of creative expression through the medium of photography has lead him to the Art Institute of Philadelphia where he is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Photography.
The depths of Michael's creativity lay in his avid interests ranging from skateboarding to anything car related. The ability to capture many of his interests visually has garnered him a number of accomplishments from published photographs in Modified Magazine and S3 Magazine, respectively, and also contributes to a popular automotive blog, Canibeat.com. He continues to be inspired by the likes of photography's finest from Gregory Crewdson to Joe Brooks to Brian Lanker. However, he credits his long-term mentor, Leah MacDonald, with giving him the courage and assurance to pursue his dreams.
Michael's tireless work ethic coupled with his wide-range of interests has enabled him to become an integral part of Gabello Studios as a full-time intern where his duties range from shooting to retouching photographs for commercial photographer, Christopher Gabello. Michael has become adept at shooting a wide range of photography ranging from portraiture to product to fashion and editorial work. The combination of a rigorous school schedule and first-hand exposure to the complexities of running a commercial photography studio have put Michael ahead of the curve.
